When integrating a new application with your BetterCloud instance, the overall installation process is consistent. However, each integration is different, and may require varying levels and types of authentication. This article provides instructions for configuring and collecting all the information you need in order to add the Druva integration in BetterCloud.
BetterCloud requires the following authentication type when integrating with Druva regardless of SKU:
- Basic Authentication (Client ID and Secret Key)
Client ID and Secret Key
When adding the Druva integration, you must enter a Client ID as username and Secret Key as password.
To generate an Client ID and Secret Key, please take the following steps within Druva:
In the dashboard, click on the Druva Logo on the top left corner of the screen.
Select 'Druva Cloud Settings' on the left navigation bar.
Select 'API Credentials' on the left navigation bar.
Click on the 'New Credentials' button in the top right corner.
Enter a name for the credentials and click 'Save' on the bottom of the screen.
Copy the Client ID and the Secret Key
Paste the credentials into Bettercloud Installation with the Client ID as the Username and the Secret Key as the Password and click "Install".
Once you have successfully added the integration, your Client ID and Secret Key can be updated at any time from your integration’s configuration.
