New Reset Password Action

BetterCloud now supports the ability to generate unique passwords every time the "Reset Password" action is run. With this release, we have launched the following changes to the actions below to support dynamically created unique passwords for Reset Password actions.

Google Workspace

With the "Dynamic Password" option disabled, you can enter your own password or use the "Generate" button to generate a secure 12 character password. Click the eye icon to mask or unmask the password.

If the "Dynamic Password" option is enabled, a new password will be generated each time the action runs. Additionally, you can set the length for the dynamic passwords (between 8 and 100 characters), tune the password complexity, and send the new password to the targeted user's primary email address, the targeted user's secondary email address(es), and/or the targeted user's recovery email address. Users will be logged out of their primary email once their password is reset, so we recommend sending notices to users' secondary/recovery emails.

Both options support the "Require password change on next login" setting.

Microsoft 365
