When integrating a new application with your BetterCloud instance, the overall installation process is consistent. However, each integration is different, and may require varying levels and types of authentication. This article provides instructions for configuring and collecting all the information you need in order to add the Wrike integration in BetterCloud.
BetterCloud requires the following authentication type when integrating with Wrike:
- API Token (Wrike Permanent Access Token)
Please Note the Following Requirements:
- In order to integrate with BetterCloud, your Wrike subscription must be on a Business Plan or higher. See more about Wrike pricing here.
- The "Wrike Integrate" paid Add-On must be added to your subscription to gain access to the API. See more about Wrike Integrate here.
- In order to generate a Permanent Access Token, the user taking the following steps must be an Account Owner.
In Wrike, the API token is referred to as a Permanent Access Token. To generate this token, navigate to your account icon in the top right corner and select "Apps & Integrations" from the drop down .
Then navigate to "API" > give your App a name > and select "Create New".
Scroll to the bottom to find the "Permanent Access Token" section > the click "Create v4 Token".
After entering your password, you'll be able to copy the token.
Note: After you Save & Exit, this token will no longer be visible. However, you can create a new application and update your API Token in the Integration at any time.
After copying the token, you can now place it in the API Token field in the Integration.
Note: Be sure to prepend the required Bearer prefix, as in the screenshot below.
Once you have successfully added the integration, your API Token can be updated at any time from your integration’s configuration.
