Integrating Alfresco with BetterCloud

When integrating a new application with your BetterCloud instance, the overall installation process is consistent. However, each integration is different, and may require varying levels and types of authentication. This article provides instructions for configuring and collecting all the information you need in order to add the Alfresco integration in BetterCloud.

BetterCloud requires the following authentication type when integrating with Alfresco:

  • Username and Password (Basic HTTP Authentication)

You will also need to enter the following additional environment variable in order to successfully connect:

  • hostUrl

*Please Note:

  • The Alfresco integration supports Alfresco Content Services and Alfresco Community Edition

Username and Password

Enter the username and password for the account you are using to authenticate. In order to successfully authenticate and perform actions, you must use a user with Admin or Account Admin permissions in Alfresco.

Host URL

The host is the unique subdomain URL for your Alfresco instance. You can obtain this by copying the first portion of your URL after logging into Alfresco (it will be just the highlighted text below).

Once you have successfully added the integration, your username, password, and host can all be updated at any time from your integration’s configuration.
