When integrating a new application with your BetterCloud instance, the overall installation process is consistent. However, each integration is different, and may require varying levels and types of authentication. This article provides instructions for configuring and collecting all the information you need in order to add the Zoom integration in BetterCloud.
When adding this integration you must enter the following information:
Please note: In order to generate valid keys, the account you are using must be either an Owner or Admin in Zoom.
Secret Key and API Key
BetterCloud uses a JSON Web Token to integrate with Zoom, the creation of which requires both a secret key and an API key. These can be configured directly within Zoom by adding a JWT app to your Zoom instance. Navigate to the Zoom app marketplace to get started. Under the JWT app type, click “Create.”
Please note: Zoom only allows one JWT app. If you have an existing JWT app those credentials may be used. BetterCloud will share Zoom rate limits with other services utilizing the JWT app credentials.
Enter the required basic information for your JWT app.
Click into your App Credentials to view your API Key and API Secret.
Copy these values into the zoomApiKey field and zoomSecretKey field respectively.
*Please Note: You must click “Continue” before your new credentials will be saved.
Proceed to the “Activation” step to enable your app.
Once you have successfully added the integration, your Secret Key and API Key will be available as encrypted environment variables in your integration and can be updated at any time.
When creating a user, the “Type” property takes number 1, 2, or 3 (1 = Basic, 2 = Licensed, 3 = On-prem)
