When integrating a new application with your BetterCloud instance, the overall installation process is consistent. However, each integration is different, and may require varying levels and types of authentication. This article provides instructions for configuring and collecting all the information you need in order to add the LastPass integration in BetterCloud.
When integrating with LastPass you will be required to enter the following pieces of data under “Additional Headers”:
*Please Note: In order to integrate LastPass with BetterCloud you will need access to the LastPass Enterprise API, which is only available to LastPass Enterprise accounts.
LastPass uses a unique key called a “provisioning hash,” which authorizes the API to take action on your LastPass instance. To generate your provisioning hash, head to the Enterprise API section of your administrator account.
If you have previously generated a provisioning hash, you can use the one you have already created. From the Enterprise API dashboard you can create your hash or reset it if you do not have access to a hash you have already created.
The LastPass API also requires a company ID (or “cid”) that is unique to your organization. As with the provisioning hash, this can also be located from the Enterprise API section of your administrator account.
The documentation provided includes your unique cid.
Once you have successfully added the integration, your Provisioning Hash and Company ID will be available as encrypted environment variables in your integration and can be updated at any time.
