Okta Alerts in BetterCloud

Alerts in BetterCloud can be enabled and customized for your domain, to help keep you apprised of security concerns and monitor important settings. Alerts can also be used to trigger Workflows, allowing you to dynamically manage security concerns, redundancies, and routine admin tasks across your organization.

The following is a list of alerts currently available in BetterCloud from the Okta Connector. In addition to alerting on administrative events, we've included Alerts that will trigger based on end-user events as well.

Administrator Added

Severity: Critical

Description: An admin was added.

Trigger: Alert me when Administrator Added exceeds threshold of 0.

 

Administrator Removed

Severity: Critical

Description: An admin was removed.

Trigger: Alert me when Administrator Removed exceeds threshold of 0.

 

Administrator Count Exceeds Threshold

Severity: Critical

Description: The number of Okta global administrators has exceeded the threshold set.

Trigger: Alert me when Administrator Count Exceeds Threshold of 3.

 

New User

Severity: Minor

Description: This event triggers when any new Okta user is created. Add conditions to define this event further.

Trigger: Alert me when New User exceeds threshold of 0.

 

Failed User Login

Severity: Minor

Description: User failed to login to Okta.

 

Successful User Login

Severity: Minor

Description: Successful user login to Okta.

 

Invalid Delegated Authentication Via Active Directory

Severity: Minor

Description: User’s delegated authentication via Active Directory was invalid.

 

Successful Delegated Authentication Via Active Directory

Severity: Minor

Description: User’s delegated authentication via Active Directory was successful.

 

User Attempted SSO Into Application

Severity: Minor

Description: User attempted SSO into application.

 

These alerts are customizable, and the thresholds can be changed to meet your organization's setup.
